Awkwafina An American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs dealing with issues related to sexual and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood when she dropped an album of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. After graduation, her focus shift to music. After gaining viral fame on the Internet and her own My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included viral hits such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter track was tied to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. The resume of her included the musician and author. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. In addition to early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films like Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
