Jana Kramer bio

Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, country-pop musician and songwriter, when she was a character in the series One Tree Hill. She was Alex for the duration of three of the last four seasons. On the episodes the singer-songwriter was seen performing her first country album. The album with the same name was ranked in the Billboard 200's Top 20. Thirty One by 2015 was the sequel and reached number Ten. As she ended the decade with a performance on Dancing with the Stars. It was 2021 when The Doubting Voices came out. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised there, grew to love the music of country. Then she decided to pursue an acting career. Her debut professional appearance was acting in the film Dead/Undead in 2002, when she was still a teenager. She appeared in guest spots for All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights during the 2nd season of the show 2007-2008. Kramer was later cast to play Portia Ranson in 90210 (2008-2009) and Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) prior to when she was tapped for One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until about half-way through the last season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her get a recording contract from Elektra Records. In 2011 she debuted the contemporary love song from the country genre, I Won't Let Go. The track debuted in mid-2012 and was included in her first entire album Jana Kramer. The song was featured in the Top Country Albums of Billboard's chart within the Top Five. Following a shift to her professional musical career, she was still acting, and she appeared in films like Heart of the Country 2013 (which was a hit with her fans) or Country Crush 2016 (which would be a hit with her music lovers). Kramer's second album Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15th, 2015. Thanks to her Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as an duet featuring Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it fared even better reaching number three on the country albums chart and number ten on the Billboard 200. In September 2016, her two month stint on 23rd episode of Dancing with the Stars ended with a 4th place finish. It was also the year that she landed an adult contemporary smash, with the song Feels Like Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser.
